Hard-hitting and deep-penetrating, the GMX® bullet combines monolithic construction with pioneering ballistic design to meet the need for a premium, non-traditional bullet. Tougher than pure copper, the mono-metal copper alloy has been proven to shoot cleaner, foul less, and deliver consistent, even pressure curves. The tough alloy material routinely retains 95% or more of its original weight and expands up to 1.5X its original diameter.
Featuring a long, sleek profile with cannelures, the design reduces overall bearing surface and drag, while achieving some of the highest ballistic coefficients from monolithic, non-traditional bullets. Initiating expansion upon impact, the hard polymer tip drives into the hollow cavity at the front of the bullet, creating a mushroom-style projectile as it travels through the animal. Fully California compatible and appropriate for use in areas requiring the use of non-traditional bullets, GMX® is ideal for any sized game, from antelope to moose.
Sealed primer and case mouth provide watertight protection
Nickel-plated cases are corrosion-resistant and waterproof
California-compatible and appropriate for other areas requiring non-traditional bullets

I purchased 120 rounds for a new build. And I have had nothing but failure to feed after failure to feed . I have used different mags and had my gun cleaned and lubed by my local gunsmith . Other ammo I ha w used it performed flawlessly only with this ammo.

Excellent product no problems with anything. Would get again

Just used at the range but the real test will be in hunting practice which I have not yet. No problems with this ammo at the range.
Dave –
Great Ammunition. I shot well over one thousand rounds with no issue.

Came earlier than expected, boxes were alittle mushed/damaged but that isnt their fault, since that happens when you ship with fed ex/ups
Summer –
Bought 5 boxes online. Received today, majority of the rounds are defective, necks being cracked or damaged. Poor manufacturing.

I noticed a lot of people giving a bad review, but I have never had a single problem with Hornady outfitter Box. As a Law Enforcement Instructor, I use a lot of Hornady outfitter ammo at instructor schools and training. I’m sure there may be an occasional issue, but I have personally never had one myself.

Shoots 3-4 MOA with a red-dot/irons through a few average 16″ ARs. It’s not match ammo, so I really can’t complain. It’s cheap and plentiful ammo that is perfect for plinking.

When I ran out of premium loads on the range I switched out to these Outfitter box. To my suprise I was as accurate with this round at 4-500yds as with the premium rounds I was shooting. Great product at a decent price!

Got box of .223 55 grain fmj ammo and it’s gotta be worst out there. Some of cases have bullets seated crooked to a cartridge centerline. While I am at half box of this ammo, on one of the fired cases i noticed crack at neck of the cartridge.
